Welcome Message From Chairman

Dear Colleagues and Stakeholders,

It is with great honor and a deep sense of responsibility that I step into the role of Chairman of the Auditing Standards Board of Nepal. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone for the trust and confidence placed in me.

As the newly appointed chairman, I am committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and transparency in the auditing field. Our work is essential to ensuring the accountability and trustworthiness of financial reporting in Nepal. The integrity of our financial systems, the strength of our institutions, and the well-being of our economy all rely on the quality of audits and adherence to the highest standards.

Moving forward, we will continue to review and update our auditing standards, ensuring they align with international best practices while meeting the unique needs of Nepal’s financial landscape. We will work toward enhancing the capacity of auditors, ensuring they have the tools, knowledge, and resources they need to perform their duties effectively and ethically. Collaboration with government agencies, financial institutions, and international partners will remain a core focus. Open dialogue and transparency will guide all our efforts. The trust of the public in financial reporting and auditing is paramount. We are dedicated to maintaining and strengthening this trust through our work.

I am confident that with the collective efforts of all stakeholders, we will continue to drive progress and build a robust auditing environment in Nepal. Together, we can achieve the goals of integrity, accountability, and excellence in the field of auditing.

Thank you for your support and dedication as we embark on this journey.

Warm Regards,

Jagannath Upadhyay Niraula, FCA
